Eduardo Hope

Soccer is about community, enjoyment and being together

Enjoyment, bonding and a sense of community are all to be found in sports, books and patient conversations. Meet my good friend, Eduardo Hope, as we talk about late nights in the closed university library, sudden moves, books, and overcoming cultural differences for the sake of love.

Know what else he loves? Kung fu. And that childhood love lead to all sorts of rabbit holes that led to food exploration, curiosity about international relations and even a love of philosophy.

One of the things I also picked up with my soccer interest was learning how to pronounce people’s names correctly.

His languages are English, Spanish, German, French, a bit of Portuguese (but that didn’t work out). His motivation is all about talking to people in his life who share his interests.
